Decided to attend this Southern Counties East Football League Division 1 match at the last minute having decided against driving to Beckenham Town to watch the Chatham game. Snodland hasn’t got the biggest ground but once you’ve parked at the leisure centre and walked across the pitches to the ground it’s got a nice covered seating stand and the usual tea stand and toilet block.

There were quite a few fans there and the game was played at a quick tempo. SC Thamesmead were quick and powerful and their central striker scored the first and put his head on everything going forward. Had to listen to a lot of foul abuse of the referee and officials from the Thamesmead bench throughout the game, which was hard to understand as they had the best of the decisions and won the game comfortably 3-1. Managed to see one goal direct from a corner for Thamesmead and this goal captured here where the goalkeeper couldn’t handle the corner and it was followed up and in for the third Thamesmead goal.
Anyway got away just before the final whistle – having seen a rainbow appear from nowhere and would return here again as it was a good atmosphere.
